“Three for Three” Now Available to All International Trumpet Guild Members

At long last, my piece, “Three for Three” is now available free of charge to all current members of the International Trumpet Guild.  Clicking here will send you to the ITG website’s Member Page.  From there you can login, and then choose Special Offers from the Content menu at the top of the page. There are two files, the score (7.7 MB), and the Parts (5.4 MB).

Click here to read the review from the January 2012 issue of the International Trumpet Guild Journal (presented in its entirety in an earlier post).  A MIDI reference recording can be heard on the More Audio page of my website.

Three for Three is essentially a mini jazz set composed of three songs for trumpet/flugelhorn, tenor/soprano sax, and piano.  The intent for this composition was to create a challenging piece that could be played by strong players who may not have a lot of experience improvising over these types of harmonic structures, or playing with this kind of rhythmic phrasing.  There are also separate lead sheets for the three pieces that can stand alone from the larger work.
